  • Can I use eMiniMalls with Google Adsense?

    Chitika cannot speak on Google's behalf. However, some of our clients who have contacted Google have been informed that it is ok to use eMiniMalls with Google Adsense when used in non-contextual mode (1, 2). By default, the eMiniMalls code is set to be non-contextual.

    eMiniMalls service has no exclusivity conditions. You can choose to use eMiniMalls with any other ad service. If you are concerned about Google AdSense exclusivities, then please note that our eMiniMalls are not text ads and they don't even look like contextual text ads. We display products and best offers for those products from various merchants.

  • How do I pass a query for targeting?

    To pass a single query, add it to the ch_query field:

  • How do I pass multiple queries/keywords?

    Add the following lines of code and replace the values in the "var_ch_queries" array:

  • How can I find the right keywords/products that are best for my site?

    Visit Amazon.com and Shopping.com and look at the best selling products in the relevant categories. Then copy the entire product name and test it out using the search tab on the unit on http://chitika.com/ (By using chitika.com you are not inflating your own stats). If it works, add it to the list of queries in ch_queries in your code

  • Can I get SID level/channel stats breakdown?

    Yes. By adding ch_sid = 'XXXX';
    to the code you will be able to track performance by channel.

    Replace XXXX with a meaningful channel name of your choice. You get to define your own meaningful channel names. Reporting by SID will be available shortly

  • I have been approved for one website, but I also own other sites. Can I use the service on other sites as well?

    Once you are approved, you can add the code to any of your sites, as long as each website meets the T&C's (no gambling, adult content, etc.)

  • I'm using eMiniMalls on my blog and want to optimize the targeting - What should I do?

    One trick is to pass in the title of the post in the ch_query field. It's performing beautifully on our product/gadget publishers

  • Does CTR affect EPC like it does over at Google Adsense? In other words, if I have poorly performing eMiniMalls on some pages, does that bring down the earnings per click I might earn on my better performing pages?

    No. Not at this time.

  • How do I add more sites to my account?

    As long as your other sites meet our program policies (See exhibit A in our T&C's) there is no need to activate additional accounts or to notify us. Add the code to your page source, and we'll automatically detect the new site and display relevant product listings.


Publisher Referral Program

  • How does Chitika's Publisher Referral Program work?

    When the publisher you refer applies for eMiniMalls through your referral link, is approved, and then displays Chitika's eMiniMalls on their website, you are eligible to receive Publisher referral commissions. You will earn 10% of the CPC revenue that your referrals earns for up to 12 months from their approval date.

  • Can I refer publishers to your BlogContext or RealContext Services?

    At this time, BlogContext and RealContext are not a part of Chitika's referral program.

  • How do I refer someone?

    Please login to your account and click on the "Referral Program" button. From there you will see an overview of the program and have access to the link that your referral should use to apply for eMiniMalls. Email this link to your friends and we'll take care of it from there - It's that easy!

  • When do I get paid?

    You will be paid 30 days after the end of the month that your referral generated clicks, provided that the total referrals amount is over $10 (for PayPal) or $50 (where PayPal is not available.)

  • Who can I refer to Chitika?

    You may refer any publisher from your website, who does not already have a Chitika account. Please keep in mind; all referrals (new applicants) are subject to approval before they can begin displaying Chitika's eMiniMalls.

  • Is there a limit to the number of Publisher Referral Bonuses I can earn?

    No, there are no restrictions on the number of Publisher Referral Bonuses you can earn. The more you refer, the more money you make!

  • I referred a publisher, but don't see them listed in the reports and haven't received any commissions yet. Why?

    There are a few reasons why you may not have received your bonus:

    - Your referral applicant may not have been accepted into our program
    - Your total balance for your referrals has not reached a total of $10 (PayPal) or $50 (check)
    - The account for the website that you referred has been suspended

  • If I refer a publisher, how long do I get to receive bonuses?

    You are eligible to receive Publisher Referral Bonus payouts for the first 12 months of the referred publisher's account based upon the date that they were approved for eMiniMalls.

  • How do I see how much my referral commissions will be?

    Login to the Chitika reporting system at: https://chitika.com/affiliate/ and you will see a link for "Reports". Click on that and you will see your referral reports included in the links at the top of the page.

  • What is "Unaudited" referral revenue versus "Audited"? How does it affect my payments?

    Every month Chitika audits the clicks that we receive from all of our publishers sites. In the audit process we remove any invalid clicks such as: repeated clicks from the same ip. This is done to protect our advertisers from fraudulent clicks.

    You are paid commissions based upon your referrals' "Audited" revenue.

  • Why can't I see my commission revenue for each of my referrals?

    For privacy reasons, Chitika only shows the aggregate commissions of all of your referrals.

  • Would my referrals earn more money if they apply for eMiniMalls on their own?

    No, your referral will earn the same amount. In appreciation for sending us leads, Chitika is sharing its' revenue with you. We appreciate your efforts!

  • How do I get paid for my referrals?

    Your referral revenue will be included with your regular monthly earnings.

  • I live in a country where PayPal is not available, how do I get paid?

    We can also pay by check (when balance crosses $50) if you don't have a PayPal account or choose not to. Please login to your account, click on "Edit Your Information" and select your payment option.

  • I don't currently have a Chitika account, may I still refer someone?

    Most likely. If you do not have an account, please email us at support@chitika.com with your specific requests.

  • How are referrals tracked?

    Chitika tracks referrals based upon cookies that remain active for 10 days after the publisher clicks on your referral link.

    Payments are sent around the start of every month. You will receive your payments approximately 30 days after the end of the month in which your account's total generated revenue exceeds $10 (for Paypal) or $50 (for checks).

  • Can I use the same account for multiple websites?

    Yes (as long as all websites meet the terms and conditions).

  • How do I access my reports?

    When you sign up for Chitika's services we will send you a link and secure login information to access your real-time reports online. You can also login into your account from the http://www.chitika.com homepage.

    Yes. Login to your reporting account and click on "My Account" and then "Edit Your Information" and enter your new password. At this time, Usernames can not be changed.

  • Can I filter adult ads from appearing on my website?

    Adult ads are filtered automatically.

  • Are non-English websites eligible?

    Not at this time.

  • I did not receive a confirmation email from you, what should I do?

    If you did not receive an email confirmation as a part of the signup process, please send an email to support@chitika.com and our Customer Service team will check for your application.

What is BidVertiser Publishers Program?

BidVertiser Publishers Program is a fast and easy to use way for publishers of all sizes to display unobtrusive text ads on their website and earn money. The program is free and BidVertiser pays you for valid clicks on the ads on your site. You simply paste an HTML code into your web pages and ads will instantly start appearing. Advertisers will bid against each other for your ad space, while our 3rd generation bidding-based ad serving system will always display the highest bidders, those that will generate the maximum revenue for your advertising space.

How does BidVertiser decide which ads get displayed?

BidVertiser will always display the highest bidders on your site, assuring the maximum revenue possible at any given time. You will see a constant improvement in your bidding over time, as both your visitors and our advertisers will be exposed to the opportunity of bidding against each other on your ad space.

What makes BidVertiser different from other ad networks?

Other ad networks (like Google and Overture) BidVertiser

How quickly will BidVertiser ads start appearing on my site?

Once you have created your account you will be provided with a few lines of HTML code to paste onto your web page. Once you have pasted the code on your page, ads will instantly start appearing. Please note that in order to prevent offensive websites from displaying our ads, we manually review and approve each site (usually within 48 hours). During this time, your ads will display the default BidVertiser ads. Once approved, the BidVertiser system will constantly be utilizing the highest bidders to be displayed on your site to maximize your revenue. Once ads are being shown on your site our advertisers will start bidding on your ads, while the performance of your BidVertiser ads will be steadily improving over time.

How do I start running ads?

Simply paste the BidVertiser HTML Code into your web pages, at the location where you want the ads to be displayed. You can retrieve the HTML Code from the Publishers Center once you log in.

Can I filter which ads are displayed on my site?

Yes! BidVertiser enables you to filter-out any unwanted ads. Prior to your own filtering, each ad has to be pre-approved by our editorial team. This mechanism gives you a peace of mind with regards to the ads displayed on your website.

Can I show ads on more than one site?

Yes, simply create another BidVertiser Ad from within the Publisher Center. The new Ad will have its own price-per-click and tracking to give you the maximum control of your ads' performance.

Can I place more than one ad on a page?

You can place as many or as few ads on each page as you would like. However, we do not recommend having too many ads on your site as this will result in driving visitors away from your site.

What are the different types and sizes of ads available?

We have a wide selection of ready-made templates of various ad sizes, including banners, buttons, skyscrapers and inline ads. We also give you the option to design one by yourself. Each template can be customized to fit the look of your website, by altering the fonts, colors, layout and size.

How do I know which ad layout works best on my site?

We track the performance of each of your ads separately for reporting purposes. You can generate detailed reports of your clicks, impressions and earnings.

Can I alter the BidVertiser HTML code?

No. Please paste the BidVertiser HTML code into your web pages without making any modifications.

Can I cancel my BidVertiser Publisher account?

You can cancel your account anytime simply by removing the BidVertiser HTML Code from your web site.

We encourage you to contact us prior to canceling your account - we strive to provide you with the most effective advertising program available and we would like to try and assist you with your account to improve performance and revenue.
Payments

How much revenue will I earn?

All BidVertisers ads that you display on your site are cost-per-click ads. This means that you get paid for every legitimate click on an ad. The amount that you get paid is determined by how much advertisers have bid for your advertising space, while our ad serving system always displays the highest bidders on your site, assuring the maximum revenue possible at any given time. You will see a constant improvement in your bidding over time, as both your visitors and our advertisers will be exposed to the opportunity of bidding against each other on your ad space.

How are payments made?

Payments are sent via check or PayPal on a monthly basis within 30 days after the end of each calendar month.

When do I get paid?

If you have chosen to be paid by PayPal, BidVertiser will issue payment 30 days after the end of each calendar month that BidVertiser ads are running on your site if your earned balance is US $10.00 or more. If your account's balance is not $10.00 at month end, the balance will be carried over into the next month and paid out once you have earned $10.00 or more.

If you have chosen to be paid by check, BidVertiser will mail you a check 30 days after the end of each calendar month that BidVertiser ads are running on your site if your earned balance is US $50.00 or more. If your account's balance is not $50.00 at month end, the balance will be carried over into the next month and paid out once you have earned $50.00 or more

Q: How much will I get paid to run ValueClick Media advertising?
A: The eCPM for each campaign is clearly listed in the publisher interface, so for each impression you serve you will know exactly what you will earn. We also provide tools to help you determine exactly which campaigns to serve to maximize revenue for your inventory.

Q: Why should I use ValueClick Media as my network?
A: Besides our commitment to pay the most total dollars for your inventory, each and every month, you will receive some of the highest rates and fill in the industry. Q: How can I be sure that all the ads ValueClick Media will run on my site are appropriate?

A: All the ads that are available to run across your website will appear in your account. Once there, you have the option to include or exclude any of the campaigns of existing advertisers. We have provided tools to automatically filter out and/or notify you of any campaigns that do not match your requirements.

Q: Do I have to run all ad formats or can I choose which formats I want on my site?

A: You can choose to run as many or as few formats as you prefer. ValueClick Media does not want you to run any type of advertising format or creative that you deem inappropriate. Keep in mind that the more ad types and campaigns you select, and the higher their eCPMs, the higher your overall revenue will be. But, as always, the choice is yours!

Q: When do I get paid?

A: Payments are made the 20th of each month for the previous month. If your balance for the previous month is over $25 and you have provided complete payment information, you will receive a payment shortly thereafter by direct deposit, check or PayPal. Unpaid balances are rolled-over to the next month.

Q: If I'm a publisher, can I transfer my payments directly into an advertising campaign?

A: No, ValueClick Media cannot implement an automatic transfer at this time. Please create an advertiser account, and pay directly by check, credit card, PayPal or wire transfer.

    1. The Ad Unit must be clearly marked as "Ads by Yahoo!" and cannot be obscured in any way
    2. The Ad Unit must be shown in the requested page, not as a pop-up or pop-under window or in an e-mail
    3. The Ad Page must be content-based, fully functional and not contain any broken links. Non-content pages include domain registration pages, welcome pages, error pages, and Web content generated in or through software applications
    4. The Ad Page must be in English or Spanish and be consistent with the language of the Listings
    5. The Ad Page must respond adequately to user requests
    6. The Ad Page must not actively encourage users to click on Ad Units
    7. The Ad Page must not disable the browser's back button
    8. The Ad Page must not spawn more than one partial pop-up/pop-under window and this window must not interfere with user navigation

  8. Will I have to pay taxes on my YPN earnings?
    U.S. tax law requires that we obtain a valid Taxpayer ID (the Employer Identification Number for established businesses or your Social Security Number for sole proprietorships) from every publisher in order to make payments to you. You will receive a Form 1099 from us by January 31 of each year following the end of the prior tax year. Please consult your tax advisor for information on how to report this income to the IRS.

  9. When will ads begin appearing on my site?
    Your Yahoo! Publisher Network ads will usually begin appearing within a few minutes of pasting the ad code into your web pages. If no ads are available, "run-of-network" ads are displayed until more relevant ads are matched to the pages, typically within 24 hours.

  10. Can I have more than one set of Yahoo! Publisher Network ad units on a web page?
    You are allowed to display ads in multiple areas of your web page(s). In order to do so, paste the code multiple times as appropriate for your page. Keep in mind that the same set of ads may appear in each of the areas that you have chosen to display ads.

Adsense Alternatives: Clicksor:

Clicksor offers webmasters the opportunity to earn more income by simply underlining a selection of clickable text (inline text links) or displaying targeted contextual ads (various sizes of banners) on their Web sites or blogs.

You are able to choose the type of advertisements to be shown on your Web site at a cost per click (CPC), cost per thousand impressions (CPM) and cost per visit (CPV) earnings metrics. You can earn up to 60% revenue share, depending on the performance the advertisers attain from your Web site placements.

Payments are based on net 15 terms on a bi-weekly schedule. You may select to receive your payments by check or Paypal with a minimum payout of $50. Revenue totaling less than the minimum payout amount will be rolled into the following period.

Clicksor uses contextual advertising technology to deliver ads that are relevant to your website content, allowing your visitors to enjoy the content of the website while you gain additional earnings. A set of ad code (a short html code) will be provided for you to implement on your website. You may choose from a wide variety of ad formats, including pop-under, inline text links, text and graphical banners.

How much do I get paid?

Publishers can get paid 60% of advertising revenues generated by the website. The actual rates may vary depending on the website performance and market conditions. Geographic location of your overall traffic levels can also play a part in determining your overall revenue potential.

When are payments issued?

All payments are made bi-weekly, usually on the 1st and 15th of each month. Please also note that payments are subject to a net 15 terms policy; which means that once you reach the minimum payout amount, you need to allow at least fifteen working days for payment to be issued. During this period, detail auditing on the account will be completed to ensure earnings are generated from qualified traffic.

It is absolutely free.

Can I send traffic from any site ?

Websites that contain information including but not limited to warez, rom, emu, newsgroup postings, and SPAM emails will not be accepted. Any falsification of traffic will be grounded for immediate termination from the program and the forfeiture of any accrued payments.

Can I use my Clicksor.com code on more than one Web site ?

Ad code may only be implemented on approved websites. You may submit more than one website under the registered Publisher Account.

Do you accept non-English site ?

As our system uses contextual advertising technology to deliver relevant ads to publishers, we do not accept non-English websites at the moment.

How do I obtain the ad code?

After you have submitted your website for review, the ad code for pop-under, inline text link, text or graphical banner can be obtained from the Ad Setup section with customization available.

Where should I place the code on my site ?

The ad code may be obtained from the Ad Setup section. You may copy and paste the ad code within the and tags of the html code.

What is the referral commission ?

You will receive a 10% commission from earnings of referred publisher or spending of referred advertiser.

Can minors join Clicksor ?

No person under the age of 18 is allowed to participate in our program unless written permission from a parent or legal guardian, notarized, signed and dated, is faxed to 1-212-658-9138.

Can I place more than one ad code per page ?

We suggest publishers to place only one ad banner at the most noticeable place of the webpage for the best result. Approved website may have up to three sets of ad code on a page.

How quickly will Clicksor ads start appearing on my site ?

After successfully implementing the Clicksor HTML ad code into your web pages, Clicksor banner ads will start running on your site instantly. If your site is using Clicksor contextual link ad, it may take up to few hours or more before we are able to crawl your site and display targeted ad.

Can I display ads on search results pages ?

Yes, Clicksor allows ads to be placed on search results pages. Please submit your publisher ID and application form to your publisher manager for XML feed approval.
